A Different Kind of Consulting

Pté Collective is an Indigenous woman-owned consulting firm founded on the belief that meaningful change happens through relationships, trust, and community-led solutions. We help organizations strengthen leadership, improve systems, secure funding, and build sustainable futures while honoring the strengths that already exist.

Our Creation Story

Pté Collective is a Native-owned consulting business rooted in the belief that strong communities are built through relationships, culture, and shared purpose. Pté ("p-day") in the Dakota language means female buffalo—a symbol of strength, resilience, protection, and community.

Pté Collective was founded from a simple belief: Indigenous communities deserve partners who understand their histories, honor their sovereignty, and recognize that lasting solutions come from within the community—not from outside it. Too often, organizations are asked to navigate complex systems with limited resources while relying on consultants who lack cultural understanding or lived experience working alongside Tribal Nations. Pté Collective was created to bridge that gap.

We partner with Tribal Nations, Indigenous organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, and rural communities to strengthen local capacity, support community-led solutions, secure resources, and foster sustainable growth. Rather than bringing predetermined answers, we work alongside communities to build on their existing strengths, amplify local voices, and develop strategies that are culturally grounded, practical, and sustainable.

Guided by Indigenous values, Pté Collective believes meaningful change happens through trust, humility, and long-term relationships. Our work is centered on empowering children, families, leaders, and future generations while helping communities create systems that reflect their own values, priorities, and vision for the future.

Our Values

At Pté Collective, our values are more than guiding principles—they are the foundation of every relationship, conversation, and partnership we build. Rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and inspired by the strength, resilience, and responsibility symbolized by Pté (female buffalo), our values shape how we listen, lead, and serve. We believe meaningful change happens through trust, cultural respect, accountability, and a shared commitment to strengthening communities. As we partner with Tribal Nations, Indigenous organizations, and rural communities, we remain dedicated to honoring local knowledge, empowering leaders, and creating opportunities that benefit children, families, and future generations.
